I've just written my own extension of Zend_Validate_Db_Abstract that supports multiple fields to query against, for the case where your table has a multi-field unique index. I wonder if there's any demand for this feature, it might be a cool thing for this relative novice ZFer to contribute, perhaps as a feature enhancement to Zend_Validate_Db_NoRecordExists.
