Depends on how you're trying to reset it? It must be an original non-Yahoo 
account to work - there's no other account type that can access the v1.0 API.

If you're really stuck, and what you're doing isn't overly complex you could 
use the component flow (if not the component) to simulate raw HTTP transactions 
using the Zend_Oauth http client (it's a simple subclass of Zend_Http_Client). 
You can use a simple PHP session to store a temporary OAuth access token (or a 
database/filestore if it's in continual use). There's an example of using 
Zend_Oauth's raw HTTP client to interact with Twitter's API in the reference 
guide.
