I have managed to install fwknopd on RHEL4 compiled from the 1.9.11 source rpm using ulogd compiled from a 1.23 fc4 source rpm.
To test it I installed a client from source on Ubuntu 8.10 (with install.pl -c) and using GPG keys, the SPA packet is received OK and the FWKNOP_INPUT rule is present for 30sec. However when it comes to installing a client on WinXP SP2 it's a different story. As per the post from Julien Picalausa I have installed Strawberry Perl and added the two CPAN modules Crypt::CBC and Crypt::Rijndael. I "grabbed the fwknop sources" but am unable to install the fwknop client and the deps modules using the install.pl script. I converted install.pl to install.bat using pl2bat. Using an existing "home" directory of C:\fwknop I ran install.bat -c -H C:\fwknop The script attempts to create each of the modules (other than those already installed) but issues the error message "The system cannot find the path specified" for each module and for fwknop itself despite having created the required sub-directories in C:\fwknop. The last message is - fwknop does not compile with "perl -c".
