Duane,

You are correct. The md5 sums on all of the windows-based files are not correct 
(not sure why though).  

The original intent of the binaries download page was for convenience.  
Unfortunately, the binaries download page is not actively maintained and is 
somewhat behind the current source versions.

I hope to have some free time to devote to building and uploading more current 
binaries in the next week or 2.

In the meantime, If you have access to a Visual Studio environment, you may be 
able to build the current version of the windows binaries from source.
