Hello Kevin,

Presently, you need Visual Studio to build the fwknop client.  The VS project 
file is in the win32 directory.  

You are correct about the Windows binary on e download page.  That version is 
old and has many bugs.  I will try to get a more updated version uploaded in 
the next few days.
