I just happen to have a debugged golf game test program lying around. :) It is a single hole course (par 72) of medium difficulty, but easy for beginners to play. I found a reasonable solution in ten minutes or so, but several approaches are possible, and I don't know what the limit is.
The test program is pretty solid (well, more solid than Santa's) and the semantics straightforward, so the game should be almost self-administering (i.e. if you pass the test program, you are ok). I acknowledge that Eugene will host the Dutch Masters sometime around Easter and I see that as one of the 4 fwp golf "majors" of the year. My proposed game would be just a minor fwp tour event. Sometime around the end of January may be a suitable time, but I want to go along with the wishes of the majority, and will happily cancel it if people feel we are being over-golfed or if someone else wants to host a game around that time. /-\ndrew
