one could say so, yes.
so I propose the following compromise:
if you have persons A, B, C and D at score X, and tie-scores, say 8, 5, 5, 3
respectively, display them as:
1 A
2 B
C
4 D
This way at least everyone knows if he should look further or not, and
you don't tell the world the tie-scores
