Hello!
I posted this message on the boot-dev apple mailing list but I got no
answer. Can someone of you here help me?
For quite a long time I wanted to write a simulator, which would simulate
the Open Firmware environment of the PowerBook G3 Wallstreet. I
am particularly interested into the device-tree and ".properties" and
"words" in each sub-node or device.
It would be a Java application, which would simulate the Open Firmware
environment, particularly the command prompt ( 0 > "command" ) and it would
allow the user to browse the device tree and find out the properties (via
the ".properties" command) and words (via the "words" command) of each
device and to use some additional commands (but no packages and forth
commands). Actually, a offline PowerBook device tree browser.
At first I wanted to copy everything by hand: from my PowerBook into the
text editor on my second mac. I got to about 5%, but there it stopped
because there is simply too much information.
Is there any way that I could find this information online? Could I get the
device tree along with all informations (".properties", "words") from Apple?
I really wanted to do this for a long time and I do not want to stop because
there is simply too much information to copy by hand.
Perhaps a NVRAM image of a kind.
As a proof that I am really handcopying everything, I decided to include the
whole device tree into my mail:

I am a student of computer science and math so I won't use this in any kind
of business or anything. I do this for my personal joy, and also because I
want to make the device tree of my beloved Powerbook accessible for
inspecting long after it will die (I hope this will not happen soon,
though).
I hope I will be more lucky here!
Thank you for your potential replies!
