Dear listreaders, Ok, I ripped open a Pismo Zip100 module to see what's inside. Didn't care about voiding the warranty since it only cost me $20. As reported by another here a few postings back, the connectors are different between the Z100NB mechanism and the IDE port of 2.5" drives. The zip mechanism uses a tiny (about 1-inch long) interface with 24/48 pins. I don't know what this is called. And I don't know what other sorts of mechanisms might use that 1" interface, such that I might swap them in to replace the zip.
