I recently switched hosting services for my website. They guarantee a 99% uptime. Just about every other day there have been service outages and it's getting a bit frustrating. They range from a matter of minutes (at least from the time I realize they are down) to an hour or so. This does not sound like a mere 1% of the time. They say it is a temporary problem but I just want to make sure.
Can anybody suggest a service that will regularly ping (hope that's the correct term) my website to make sure it's up, and track the times that it is down? I figure I will need some proof if I want to file a complaint regard down time. Another option might be a software I could run on my machine at home which is on a DSL connection. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. -Mark FYI, my site is: http://www.helpmymac.com -- G-Books is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
