FWIW, the pdf pismo technical manual states that Apple uses either an LG or
a Samsung 14.1" display as standard in the pismo. No mention of Panasonic,
though I too had read the above story of the guy who bought 4 screens off
ebay, then fixed and resold the broken pismos.

If you can find a 14" screen at $50 it'd be a great deal, though a quick
check I did found that prices tend to be >$100 - and it also seems that the
same guy (or company) is selling most of them; it's also the same guy who
is/was selling most of the bare expansion bay CDRW/DVD drives. Seems he
might have bought up a lot of them and is pretty well setting the going
prices for them.
