The way the "trade in" CPU upgrades work is that they unsolder the G3 
processor from the daughter card and solder on a G4. This is because 
there is a propriety chip on the daughter card that can not be obtained 
outside of Apple, so if you want to have a working processor card you 
must use an existing one for the upgrade. I would love to find a cheap 
source of daughter cards for Pismos because I want to upgrade mine to a 
G4 but am afraid of not having a fall back.
