My girlfriend's clamshell ibook modem plug is now
floating around inside the case. It is no longer under
warranty and apple wants $400.00+ just to look at it.
Does anyone know of a place to get either a
replacement modem and detailed instructions (I have
installed a modem in a PB 520c so I am not a complete
beginner) or know of a good tech in the Seattle area
that could guarantee their work? I know a USB external
modem is another option, but she would rather not have
that hassle. Thanks in advance!
