Not quite sure of what you mean by sharing, but in OS X.2 if you open the
"Sharing" panel in system preferences you can set up just about any
combination you want, as long as the volume (external hard drive) is mounted
on the desktop, you should be able to connect to the machine over the
network and see the drive volume.
