I had a similarly configured Pismo and did all 3 upgrades. Here's my
thoughts on each:

I did the Powerlogix upgrade. When I first got it back, it crashed a
lot, so (after a week of testing it) I sent it back to Powerlogix. It
turned out to be a bad G4 chip. Since getting it back, it's been
running great, and noticeably faster under OSX.

I got the 512 chip from OWC (not the low power one) and it's been fine.
I have 1GB in the Pismo now.

I got this drive (for $155 from googlegear) and love it. It's
noticeably faster than the 6GB OEM drive it replaced.

Good luck with the upgrades!
