IIRC, people have had trouble in the past with Dell 2.5" hard drives, in that Dell didn't honor any warranty service on the drives if they were not used in Dell computers. If you can get a refund, I'd recommend Other World Computing for a new drive, though I'm sure others can recommend different Mac-friendly resellers. OWC has okay prices (especially if you register for their "Special Deals") and now offers good warranty service (at least in my experience).
