Your battery is a Li-ion (Lithium Ion) so the best way to maintain it is to
simply keep it charged (just keep the computer plugged in when possible).
There is no need to discharge the batt.

In regards to the control strip, that is simply a software guesstimate. The
most accurate reading is pushing the little button on the batt. itself. Not
very precise, but that is the way it goes. You should get over 2 hours with
light computing and no CD/DVD use.

There is a cool batt. Voltage software out there called "MyBattery". Look
for it on <www.versiontracker.com> or <www.macupdate.com> unfortunately it
only runs in OS9 or earlier.
