Hi all,
Has anyone here tried to create bootable images of your drives and use them
with Apple Software Restore?
Using OS9, I want to create a one-click installer for my Pismo. I have an
external Firewire CD-R and want to use that to burn the bootable disk.
I'll be using Apple Software Restore and Disk Copy to do this.

These are the steps that I will take:

1) Partition the drive.
2) Install OS 9.2.
3) Add apps, configure everything and turn VM off.
4) Boot off the 9.2 CD.
5) Use Disk Copy to make an image of it and save to another partition.
6) Use Apple Software Restore (ASR) to modify the image so that it will be
able to decompress and expand on the fly.
7) Burn the image (hopefully approx 600MB only) with the tools from ASR
onto a CD and make the CD bootable.
8) Test.

Is there anything I left out?
Also, is there any way of creating multiple CDs that span more than one
disc? I understand that ASR is not able to do this.

Thanks in advance,
Mark.

Last question: Can I do the same for my Bondi iMac? Are there any
differences there, since the CD-R will be on the Pismo?
