I was fairly involved in the off-topic banter and I told the list publicly that I would make every effort to stop. I am telling that to the list again right now. I'm glad that the off-topic messages have died down, but it's unfortunate that now the list is still polluted with complaints even after most people agreed that it would be stopped. So, everyone, keep your shirt on, and how about we just have a good time talking about G3 and G4 based laptops! I won't send any more messages that are off topic... this will be the last one. And I think it's everyone's responsibility to warn the people discussing a topic when it starts to go off-topic, so we can prevent this. I know when I used to get repeated messages from the list mom because I would forget to delete the ads at the bottom when replying... well, after I had been told quite a few times, I got a more firm one saying that if I did that any more, I'd be temporarily banned. Now I haven't done that in ages. We can all work together to ensure that everyone is at least somewhat happy.
