Hello. I purchased a Powerbook G3/233 second hand and I am having a
small problem. When the mac goes to sleep and I hit the esc key to wake
it up,the fan comes on very loudly and will not wake up unless I unplug
it and reset the PMU key. Sometimes I plug in the power cord and the
fan comes on and will not boot. I have reset the PMU also several times
for it to boot normally. The seller replaced the PMU before he sold it.
I dont have a battery to test it. Could the backup battery be acting up?
I would appreciate any help to remedy this before I just pack it up and
throw it on ebay.

matt
