I've never had problems with my magnetized screwdrivers, and appreciate 
the ability to retrieve lost little screws from the inner guts of the 
PB.

I would suggest that you keep in mind that there is a strong magnet 
built into the case of the Pismo itself (directly under your lefthand 
wrist, as you type) which activates the magnetic sleep-switch that is 
built into the monitor/lid, directly above the "File" menu.  This 
magnet may interfere with some wristwatches as you type, if they're not 
antimagnetic.  Want to see how strong this magnet is? --explore the 
spot with a paperclip!  I've often wondered if people's occasional 
sleep/wake problems could be attributed to inadvertant demagnetization 
of this magnet, or the stray magnetic field of a transformer nearby the 
display, such as plugged into a wall socket.
