What specific versions of the apps are installed. I just discovered the other day, that my Excel 4 doesn't work under 9.2.2 (Yes, I don't use it a lot!) When I try to access the menubar, the app crashes fast and hard. I can do keyboard shortcuts, but can't open the menubar. Word 5.0 also doesn't like 9, but 5.1 works a little better. I don't know if these are universal problems, or something specific with my system. -- -Jon Glass John I'm not sure I ever used exel under OS 8.6. I was not able to install anything in the office 4.2.1 for MAC package. The installer immediately popped up an installation failed message when I tried. I've now got Office 98 which seems to work fine with OS 9.2.2 just as the apple knowledge base suggested.
