I seem to have fixed my battery problem. I drained it all the way down
by booting from a CD, then removed the battery, then
Ctrl-Opt-Shift-Power to reset the PMU, then Cmd-Opt-P-R to reset PRAM
about 3 times. Then, I put 'er to sleep, replaced the battery, and
woke 'er back up. So far, my battery didn't leap from 6% to Full in a
matter of minutes --- it seems to be getting a full charge like it is
supposed to (if this e-mail doesn't jinx me!).

Anyway, one notable symptom of resetting the PRAM (I haven't needed to
before) is that my machine boots up faster than it ever has. Zips
right from grey screen to Mac OS X login prompt in no time flat!
Before it was a tedious wait, but I just dealt with it since I
reboot/shutdown at the most once every two weeks. Perhaps one should
do this after all major upgrades just like one does on older Macs?
