Someone had asked about heat under the left hand on my BigAl book (now
affectionately named "Lapzilla"). The left hand side of the palmrest
contains the hard drive, and the right hand side has the Superdrive in
it, so the heat on either side is not an issue at all. The warmest spot
on the notebook is on the bottom, towards the hinge, right in the
center. I use a RoadTools coolpad most of the time so I don't notice
the heat. But, I did use the unit on my lap for a few hours over the
weekend, and, while it was warm, it wasn't enough to burn me. Certainly
no hotter than any PC laptops that I've used in the past.
