i had all kinds of problems with office 2001 on my Lombard (Bronze keyboard 400Mhz, SCSi = lombard??? i can never get 'em straight) After i reinstalled and DIDN'T install any of the patches it seemed much much more stable. I'm running Jag-wire (as Uncle Bill would say) with office X and it seems rock solid. I haven't had an app crash (well besides beta stuff) in months
After using X on my ex wife's iMac and i went back to my laptop with 9.2.2 it drove me crazy, so I would recommend upgrading to X, but you may want to wait until this summer since Panther is supposed to coming out soon (at the WWDC) BUT then I am kind of a UNIX geek :-) Hope this helps On Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at 09:26 AM, Eric D. wrote: > on 1/4/03 12:28 AM, John Beringer at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > >> To my dismay, after cleaning up the crash, zeroing the HD from CD >> (again), >> reinstalling 9.0.4->9.1->9.2.1->9.2.2 (again) I still kept having >> freezes >> and crashes with only: >> >> Office 2001 >> IE 5.1 >> Stuffit6.5 > -- Robert AOL IM wingnut022074 "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
