Hey, I agree with you. I'm just giving my personal experience and

to try to install Jaguar on the Wallstreet he's thinking of buying. If it
works without a hitch, then get it. If he runs into kernel panics, etc.,
then don't get it. Don't get me wrong, I really like the Wallstreet under
OS 9. I am jealous of those people that are getting Jaguar to run on their
Wallstreets without a problem.

FWIW I have found Jaguar (up to 10.2.6) runs a few Kernel Panics on both my 300MHz iBook and my G3/400. It has something against older machines I think. My G3 has only done it once since I put on a fresh install but i fresh installed because it was Kernel Panicking and then suddenly refused to boot out of the blue (as it were) one day, but enough of that! My iBook is a mess but I can't do a fresh install of OS X because it's CD-ROM circuit has died.

BTW it concerns me that no-one managed to remember about the 'hinge of death' problem on Wallstreet Powerbooks. I'm certainly not buying one if the hinge clutches are going to go bang on me one day. I'll stash my cash and buy a Pismo...
