My wife has encountered the this troubling phenomenon this last week - her
powerbook refuses to charge her battery any longer. She can still use the G3
333 MHz when plugged in to a wall socket, but it will power down immediately
when this energy source is removed. After looking at the Apple Knownledge
Base I found a discussion relating to "resetting the Power Manager Unit
(PMU)" which I tried by following the simple dircetions (computer off, hit
reset, wait > 5sec, power up) but this seemed to have no effect.

My fear is that out battery went out. However, why would it all of the
sudden, how can I know and if so where is a good place to buy them??

Thanks All,

JB
