I know that this was discussed recently, but due to lack of time I had
to sign off and never got to read any possible messages on the subject.

Basically I have a Wallstreet without the original power adapter, so I am
running it on a PC 20V adapter. This works fine but it doesn't charge
the battery, only runs the Mac. Pull the plug and it dies...

Either the 20V isn't enough, but more likely it is the problem which was
discussed where some soldering needs to be done on the power port.

Can someone please enlighten me as to the procedure and parts to
look at?

Yours gratefully... ;o)

Laurence
