Hi,

The lower middle of my tiBook screen, just above where is says "PowerBook G4" is darker than the rest of the screen. I'm wondering why, and wanted to open the screen to see if there is dirt on the illumination diffuser. I took off the two screws on the edge of the screen, thinking that that might release the sheet metal cover. No, it won't split open.

Is is possible to non-destructively open a tiBook screen?

Is the screen permanently cemented together?

Paul
