Just for information as there's always someone who might
have a similar problem.

It turns out that both the battery bays on the Wallstreet are
fine, it's the original battery that's dead, stone dead.

The "new" one charges fine and I will shortly calibrate it.

Is there anything one can do to a dead Li-Ion battery ?

I never want to use a good battery in a "deasktop" Power
Book, but it's always good to have some battery charge,
even if it's only 10 minutes worth in case the power should
die or a cable become dislodged...
