It appears that the 700 mhz ibook i bought off ebay is experiencing power board failure...

Here's what happens, it'll run fine for a bit, and then randomly shutdown or restart. I was told by the gentleman i purchased it from at the time of purchase that the book had 9 months of applecare left. But, i didn't receive any docmentation of this. Will Apple know if it still as applecare? Am i covered even tho i'm not the original buyer of the unit? Any ideas? Could it be something other than a bad logic board? The unit ran fine for like a month before this started popping up. Since receiving the book I installed a pc133 ram chip, and upgraded to 10.1.5. Could this merely be a system problem? Althugh it seemed to run fine on 10.1.5 for the month? Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
