They are gone from the LIST. That doesn't necessarily mean that you can't install them or that they won't work. The text in the dialog box clearly states that if your OS is not on the list, to choose the word OTHER.
I very much doubt that Micro$oft will strive towards making the VPC engine a true PC hardware emulator when it is so easy for them to weave a whole bunch of Windoze code, thus making Windoze on a Mac faster (maybe) while ensuring that no other OS can install as the OS installer will not see a "standard" PC...
