Yeah. Happened to me twice. The first time, I just brought it in and they replaced it with another LG drive. Same thing happened a few months later, just as my Applecare was about to run out. Apple wanted me to bring in my whole system so they could see if it was something besides the drive. Bah. I just went on Ebay and got a 3rd party CD-R/DVD-ROM drive and dropped it into the tray from the old drive. After I found the burner software update, everything worked great.
