I think the height on the 2gb drive in the PB3400s is about 17mm, while the max for the Wallstreet's is around 12mm? I know I pulled the drive out of my PB3400 and it won't even fit in any of the USB or combo cases I've got. Check Apple's website for specs on the machines; I think they've got maximum physical sizes listed.

The Wallstreet can take the bigger drives. Most current drives are 9.5mm, as are a lot of the cases. If you plan to pull a drive and put it into an external case, check the dimensions first. Even the Lombard/Pismo can take 12mm drives, I use one from my 1400 as a tester.
