Not possible. They are not interchangeable.

That's curious, any information as to why this might be? Apple didn't change the form factor at that point, so while I am not the person asking, it would be interesting to know why.


There were changes to the logic board layout that make them non-interchangeable. For example, the VGA port has been replaced with a DVI video port, not in exactly the same place. The display is different, so the internal wiring for it is probably also. The external form-factor is the same, but many of the internal components were changed.
