I have experienced the same problem on the LEM Swap List. I also hadn't changed any of my settings, and couldn't figure a work-around, until I changed my settings to what appeared least likely to cause problems.
I'm (temporarily) using Outlook Express on a PC running Windows 98. Under Tools on the MAIN MENU BAR (not the Tools on the Create Mail menu bar) I dragged to the last item, Options, clicked on it. A dialog box opens. I clicked on the Compose tab and selected Courier as the font for Mail, and then clicked OK. After this font change (to what seemed the most innocuous, universally acceptable font, my list messages started to go through again. I imagine for most of us using Macs, the parallel adjustment to the outgoing mail font preferences may do the trick. All the best, stanton ----- Original Message ----- From: "P. H.
