No need to use GIMP, printer sharing is build into 10.2. Go to the Sharing
panel of System Preferences and turn it on for the computer that is
connected to the printer. It should then appear in Print Center on the other
machine.

Isn't printer sharing built-in in 10.2? Not sure, I don't remember, but that
would be definitely the best way to do it. Nothing to install, just decide
which machine will be connected to your printer and turn on printer sharing
in the Sharing preference pane.
