Hi Emery, I too have the same condition, after kicking my Pismo to the 
floor.  I was told by the worthies on this list that it is a damaged 
pin on the LCD and is permanet....the solution is a new LCD.  If you 
find another fix. please let me know.  Thanks, Jim.
