I have an iBook Clamshell with a CD-ROM drive which no longer accepts CDs. I need a replacement drive and then instructions on how to do it. I feel confident enough that I could do it on my own [learned how to take apart an 8500 over the telephone].
Also it currently has OS X 10.2.x but I would like to go back to OS 9.1. The reason: I have a software issue. So can I just insert an OS 9.1 disk? Or is there one specifically for the iBook?
Thanks for any help.
