There are numerous products that can make a bootable image including SuperDuper which is what I am currently using. CCC is a fine product but from day one it has had one annoying flaw - it tends to stall while making a clone to an external drive. If you are cloning internal to internal or partition to partition it isn't as apt to stall but it still does occasionally.
