I'm looking for a way to connect my cell phone to my Wallstreet II via USB, and wonder which cell phone models and cellular services you may know of which will allow us to do this, and, especially, those which may allow us to do this as a regular cellphone call, without extra charges.

I use an LG VX6000 phone on Verizon service. I got a cable from Future Dial @ <http://www.futuredial.com/Products/P_Cables.htm>. I found a website that had a package of software to work with it on the Mac. This included a USB driver and a modem file. Try a web search for it or let me know and I can get it to you.
I was just on line Saturday in the middle of a park. I dial up as an ordinary phone call to my ISP (I'm on DSL but the account includes a normal dial up service). It is limited to 14,400 bps. Works okay for e-mail, AIM and limited web browsing. In one case I was even able to maintain a connection while riding in a car for about thirty minutes (the time it took to download e-mail). I have uploaded some photos I shot in the middle of nowhere.
