Hello all. I need a Powerbook. I have read extensively on LowEnd Mac regarding possibilities. It seems a good Pismo is a fine economical choice. However, I would like to have a CD-RW along with DVD. Once I seek that, the number of choices expands widely. SO, which ibook, powerbook should I choose? G3 is fine, but I do want reliability and physical robustness. Of course used is fine, but I will review my options in the refurbished market. My wife now runs a current G4 Powerbook and I run several Mac clones, a 9600 and a G3 beige all on OS 9.x. Please advise. Suggestions for resources for reviews and recommendations/opinions are welcome as well. Thanks.

Peter.

If you don't need the power of a powerbook I would go with a 12" G4 iBook. They are affordable, reliable, and powerful enough for most things.
