Hi everyone - I have recently upgraded to broadband (in the UK) and my ISP
supplied me with a Speedtouch 570 wireless router and a Speedtouch 110
wireless card to connect my Pismo (400mhz, OSX Panther, 320 MBRAM, 40 GBHD)
to the internet.
Turns out the 110 card is incompatible with Mac, and my Pismo has an
unspecified hardware fault which prevents it from recognising an Airport
card (diagnosed by local Apple store, almost certainly uneconomical to
rectify).
Am finding it very difficult to find alternative kit to connect the Pismo to
the Speedtouch wirelessly - you mention Macs and everyone starts humming and
hawing.
Can anyone out there help or suggest anything ?

You might try looking at http://wirelessdriver.sourceforge.net/ to see which cards are supported by this free open-source driver. I currently have a WaveLAN Gold which I can use outside my TiBook's 30-ft Airport range, it works fine with this driver. In fact you might try the driver with your card to see if it works first.
