Well that would make sense to me, but first you have to have all the info and numbers from Apple and then wait for their box to send it in. They won't let you use the ones from the previous times. So now you already have 4 or 5 days tied up just getting the box to put it in and about a hour tied up on the phone getting this arranged. Now then lets see, $249 for extended apple care that they don't want to use because they have another program to cover the faulty machines and how many times do I need to do the $10 dollars to mail it? It will be going back for repairs for the 3rd time soon.
You need to check the rest of the story. Apple representatives told me
that do to the fact who ever they have the contract with to pickup and
deliver the faulty IBOOKS dual usb's don't cover my area, it is my
responsibility to get it to the delivery courier, which is 100 miles
away.
So just pay $10 and mail it?

So apples written policy of covering the costs of the shipping only pertains to, if it falls within the area of coverage of , whoever they have a contract with.
You would certainly think that you could use the previous boxes and mail it directly to the Tennessee repair shop.
Hope anybody contemplating buying the G3 dual usb IBooks would think twice about it.
Also would be nice if they had a trade in, where we could rid of these faulty ones, for one without problems.
