My understanding is that if the seller provides you with the original media and license keys, then you become the licensed user and should be able to request the upgrades.


Usually, the upgrade versions just check for a legit install of the previous version, so you'd be fine.... At least that's how it worked with Adobe Photoshop when I updated from 5.5 to 7.0.
