I don't think that losing contact with the Base Station has anything to do
with the kernel extension. It has more to do with the relative poor
reception that is well known for Titanium PowerBook and other environmental
factors. Try to sit closer to the base station, move the base station to a
better location or, depending on the actual base station model you have, you
might be able to an antenna booster...
