If you checked, then there might be a problem with the launch services cache
(which, *I think*, is also called "locate") file. You might want to use a
tool like the free OnyX to clean all the caches.

Laurent followed your advice but no improvement. No duplicate on the HD and cleaning caches with OnyX did not help either. Only difference is that now a window appears saying : Mail cannot open .... No associated application could be found.


Anything else to try ?
