We keep hearing about frequent crashes and RAM. Well, every
now and then I get a flurry of these things. I wonder if its my RAM.
I was wondering--is there ANY utility that can REALLY test your RAM?

When I was back in the computer resale arena, we had a hardware based SIPP/SIMM/DIMM tester. We used that on every memory module that came back through the door that a customer said was "bad" or "causing their machine to crash" or in any case where we thought the ram was suspect. I would guess that with the days of the full service, locally owned computer store disappearing, and margins getting thinner, most shops won't have one of these, let alone one that would test laptop memory. Too bad, it was a handy thing.
