Larry, a nice list of English units is here 
http://home.clara.net/brianp/quickref.html.  Imperial units are the common 
units used in the United States, like inches and feet.  However, these units 
are also referred as English units by most people.  English units are any 
units that came from England, including the Imperial system.

we're not even smart enuf to decide if we should go metric or english!
That makes no sence what so ever as I studied electronics
at University in England for 4 years and we used nothing
but METRIC!!!
What is "English" measuring system ???
If someone tries to inform me that it is inches and stuff,
I would like to point out thet that is "Imperial".
