Overall I think it's better you have that security hole than a bunch of people loosing their data because they've forgotten / mis-entered their password. Especially since OS X will boot up and log in a user. That feature means a user may not need to use their password often and thus they are more inclined to forget it.


Besides you can always take the disk and mount it on another system and access it that way.
